About me

When the year you were born coincides with the year in which your country’s national football team wins the World Cup, perhaps destiny decides that for you, football will be the centre of your universe. And that was just the beginning: years later, in 2010, in the very stadium where Nando Martellini roared the words that proclaimed Italy victorious, I felt that same feeling that those who witnessed the Italian flag being raised in triumph 28 years before must have felt. I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful feeling than being present in the stadium, watching my favourite football team play in the most important finale of the club’s history. Magic. After reflecting on how everything  appeared to have come full circle, with my beloved childhood team raising the Champions League Cup, I appropriately found myself back at Bernabéu—for me, now more legendary than ever—celebrating the completion of my Master’s in Sports Marketing at Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid. Perhaps now, things had truly come full circle…time will tell.
